Wash Day: Happy Birthday Mom

Wash Day: July 19

For my new regimen, I changed my wash days from Saturday to Sunday since I rarely do anything on this day. But, I’ve been MIA so I’m just going to sum up everything that happened since my last post:
  •   My hair needed protein and it helped to take the tangles away from my last wash day which is posted here
  • My hair + rollersets do not mix! I might have to wait until my relaxer day to try to do a rollerset
  •  I straightened my hair with my flat iron instead which only lasted a few days due to the rain and I oiled my scalp
  • Yes, I was looking a complete mess. My new growth was so thick that one of my combs broke

So, I had to grab some of my products and turned Saturday into my Sunday’s wash day.
[1] Pre-poo: I used Hollywood Beauty Olive Cholesterol + 6 Drops of Hollywood Beauty Sweet Almond Oil in each section. I had my pre-poo on for 30 minutes with heat using Laila Ali Conditioning Cap
[2] Shampoo: Aussie Moist Shampoo
[3] I decided to try an oil rinse just so that it can help to soften the hair as well as helping me to retain moisture
[4] I also added Aunt Jackie’s In Control Moisturizing & Softening Conditioner for 1 hour with heat.
Babyyyy when I say S L I P! This oil rinse gave me life. My hair felt like butter afterwards and I didn’t want to take my hands out of my hair. I only had a few tangles but I detangled in the shower with a wide tooth comb and an alternative Denman brush. I didn’t have a lot of shedded hairs even though I haven’t touched my hair in a week.

[5] So, it was my mother’s birthday and we went out to dinner so I was running out of time to air-dry my hair. I decided to do the LOCO method since I would be using a blow-dryer.
L- Water that was already on my hair from rinsing the conditioner
O- Oil of choice: Coconut Oil
C- Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Leave-in Conditioning Cream
O- Oil of choice: Coconut Oil
I got super hungry so I decided to air-dry for an hour so I can make myself some lunch, help take out my sisters hair and find some clothes to wear.
[6] An hour later, I blow dried my hair with the cool setting and wore it in a pony-puff.

Have you ever tried an oil rinse? If not, will you ever try it?

    1. Thank you KLP! My hair was really soft and moisturized. But please excuse me for the late reply, I'm trying to get over this cold.
