[1] I boiled a small pot of hot water and added it into
a bowl where my JBCO and my honey can sit. Both of the bottles constantly sat
in the bowl of hot water as I applied it to my hair.
[2] Within sections, I damped my hair so that the honey
can glide on easily. The JBCO just went on my scalp so that I can massage it
in. I didn’t feel like being under the conditioning cap so I grabbed a plastic
bag and deep conditioned for at least 45 minutes.
Results: My hair was really soft, even though
it was sticky and I had a little slit. I did notice that my hair was really
feeling a bit rough which has not happened to me in a while.
[3] I rinsed out the honey and JBCO with warm water so
that my cuticles can be raised for the conditioner that I’ll be applying which
is the Herbal Essence Hello Hydration Conditioner. I let it sit for 5 minutes
then rinsed out with cold water to close my cuticles.
While rinsing out the conditioner, my hair felt really
weird like before when I washed out the honey. Even though my hair was under
running water, it still felt dry and brittle. Could this mean that I need
protein? I do have high porosity hair but it confused me because my hair was
acting as if I have low porosity hair.
I do not have pictures of my hair after I rinsed it out
since I was in the process of taking care of my niece!
[4] I added my leave-ins and proceeded to air dry then
put my hair into a ponytail.
This wash day was short and confusing. Has anyone had
this problem before?
How was your
recent wash day?
I am going to have to google low porosity because someone else mentioned this to me. I need to get some clarity on what that is.
ReplyDeleteI love Herbal Essence Hello Hydration. I used to use it all. the. time. until I found another conditioner that I like.
Thanks for sharing your wash day.
I think that I have to re-evaluate my hair or get a professional consultation because I don't know what's going on. Hopefully, I just need to clarify my hair and everything will be okay! Thank you so much for trying to help me out!
DeleteI am low porosity so I know all about that. I am not smart on high porosity although I know enough to be dangerous. I mix the honey and oil in the DCner so that it blends well vs. leaving residue on hair. I'm kinda thinking the jbco & honey didn't properly moisturize your hair.
ReplyDeleteThank you Relaxed Thairapy! I think you're right. It's a learning experience for me so I defiantly will not do the JBCO & honey only on my hair again. I just made a hair mist and it got my hair back together and it doesn't feel weird anymore.
DeleteYou're welcome & we all stay in learn mode.
