Mid Week: Co-Wash Days

I washed my hair Oct. 23
I’m trying to do something different with my hair for co-washing days. Instead of constantly stepping in and out of the shower, I decided to co-wash in one sitting.

  1. Made sure that my hair was fully saturated with luke-warm water.
  2. Used VO5 Moisturizing Conditioner twice. I detangled my hair both times I used the conditioner.
  3. Then I used Aussie Moist Conditioner once and detangled my hair for the final time.
  4. T-shirt dried my hair for 30 minutes then added Aussie Hair Insurance Leave-in Conditioner on my hair.
  5. My hair was 90% dry so I added EVOO and detangled.
  6. Then I did Bantu Knots.

In the morning, talk about  FAIL

With Love,
Tamara

  1. I still can't get bantu knot outs down lol. I've been trying since 2011 hopefully one day.

  2. Did you rinse out any of those conditioners, except for the leave in? That knot out doesn't look too bad, looks way better than my first attempt. Remember, For a good knot out, you want to make the knots on dry, but moisturized hair. Wet knots equal a knot out fail.

    1. I only kept the leave-in in my hair and I didn't know what was going on with my hair. That was my second attempt for the bantu knot out and I still want to improve on it. I'm writing down your suggestion in my notes so that I will never forget, thanks!
